Event Information:

 

Location:  Eddyville is in western Kentucky on U.S. Highway 62.

Use exits 45 or 40 off of I-24  or exit 4 off Western Kentucky Parkway.  Lee S. Jones Park is located less then a mile south of  Eddyville on KY Highway 93.  A lighted sign will denote the entrance.  CLICK HERE FOR LOCATION MAP.

 

Reenactors:   Advanced registration is $5.00 per person prior to April 1, 2007.  Registration at the gate or after April 1, 2007 is $10.00 per person. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged.  You may register electronically from this site or request information by calling (270) 388-5300.  Registration will be available at the site. All reenactors or their unit commanders should report to the registration desk upon arrival.  Waivers will be on hand and must be signed by every reenactor.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

   Reenactors may arrive anytime on Friday, April 28.  You may drive to the encampment area  to unload.  Vehicles must be moved to the reenactor parking area as soon as possible.

  

Vendors:  Limited space is available for commercial vendors on a first come basis.  A $50.00 fee is required.  Call (270) 388-5300 for information.

 

Spectators:  General Admission is $5.00 per car, buses $2.00 per person.   Seating is limited, bring lawn chairs.  Unleashed pets will not be permitted in the park.  Food and beverages may not be brought into the park but can be purchased from vendors.  Alcohol or other intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited.

   Spectators should leave park at the close of events. Please respect the reenactors quiet time.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.   Please use good judgment, loud cannon fire and some scenes may be traumatic to young children!

   Spectators may not camp overnight in the park.  Click on the AREA INFORMATION link for local campgrounds and other housing accommodations. 

  

Parking:  Follow instructions of parking assistants.  Parking areas are well marked.  Do not park along roads or trails.  Elderly or handicapped persons will be assisted from parking lot to event site.

 

Viewing encampments:  Spectators are encouraged to visit encampments during scheduled timesQuestions are very welcome.  Spectators should remember that they are stepping back into 1865.  Modern amenities will not be found in encampments. Please respect this.

 

Viewing Demonstrations:  Spectators are welcome at all demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday.  Friday is reserved for students at no charge during the day.  Friday evening is family night until dusk, admission is $5.00 per car.

 

Viewing Battles:  Limited bleacher seating is available along the battlefield on a first come basisConsider bringing lawn chairs Also consider earplugs if you have a hearing problem, it will be very loud at times. The battlefield will be clearly marked.  Only reenactors will be permitted in the battle area.
